Nannarè, half a portion!

It was the year 1948: Anna Magnani and Roberto Rossellini were filming "The Miracle," the second episode of the film L'Amore, at the Fjord, and often in the evening they would come up to the village and stop for dinner at our trattoria.
Anna loved pasta very much. Grandma Letizia's homemade one drove her crazy. She couldn't give up the first course, but after regularly ordering it, she would get caught up in a kind of repentance. Before the waiter, Grandpa Andrea, went away to bring the commands in the kitchen, ran after him, pointing out, "To me, half a portion!"
This recommendation, repeated every time the couple sat down at the table, became a taunt that Roberto addressed to his sweetheart every time something did not go according to their expectations, trashing her: "Nannare, half portion!"
When the two lovers took their friend Federico Fellini along on these excursions, it was necessary to bring to the table immediately, even before bread and cutlery, what he called "splinter" of Parmesan cheese or, failing that, of provolone del Monaco cheese.
One last tidbit: the stuffed flask from which the mentecatta Mariuccia, played by Annarella, sipped the red wine of Furore to the point of getting drunk and yielding to the advances of the wayfarer, Federico Fellini, mistaken for St. Joseph, was taken from the table of our trattoria and brought to the stage.
These brief "pills" testify to the presence in Furore, at Bacchus, of the three great protagonists of the history of cinema...and not only!
