Abu Tabela Trail

Pine > San Lazzaro di Agerola - Approx. 50 minutes' drive.

From the pine area to San Lazzaro leading the traveler on the trail of the legendary general Abu Tabela ( eastern corruption of the surname Avitabile ). It starts from Punta Scotelo and crosses the Gorge of the Furore valley to the Rio Penise. You pass the remains of the old powder magazine, leaning against the side of the cliff. In the distance glimpses of the panorama show the sea. You arrive, after a walk of about an hour, at the small square of San Lazzaro.

Crow's nest trail

Centena > Bomerano di Agerola - Travel time 70 minutes approx.

From Centena to Bomerano di Agerola, along the road of the brigands. you leave the carriage road below the house of the ferraiuolo and at the Sant'Alfonso crossroads you turn right and climb, among pergolas and hazelnut groves, to S. Barbara. High on the ridge, assaulted by vegetation, the ruins of the Hermitage can be glimpsed. You enter, then, the valley and easily reach the square of Bomerano.

Flowering Agave Trail

Punta S.Elia > Marina di Praia - Approx. 90 minutes' drive.

From Punta S.Elia to Marina di Praia, in the midst of the "fishing lines" of the harvesters ( Fishing line: small surface of cliff, given in rent to obtain grass ). Leaving the Passeggiata dell'Amore, inboccare the path that leads among Agave and Prickly Pears to Pennola. Carob trees survive here, among mastic trees and rosemary. Further on is Grottole with its stazzo for herds. The path becomes "da capre" and descends steeply down the garritto to the Praia bridge over the State Road.

Fish Fox Trail

S. Elia > Fjord of Furore - Approx. 40 minutes' drive.

From St. Elias to the fjord, along the ancient path of the farmer - fisherman. Passing the Maccaronari palace, one arrives at Portella and down, headlong among the characteristic "Monazeni," to the landing stage. The magic of these places can do without any emphasis.

Crazy Bat Trail

Fjord > Punta Tavola ( Conca dei Marini ) - Approx. 30 minutes' journey.

This trail can become a continuation of the previous one. It starts from the fjord, along a path that penetrates an orgy of greenery, cuts through the Mill, skirts canals and sluices and arrives at the paper mill: solitary, silent, shrouded in a swarm of bats. Here the path bends right and climbs the cliff to Punta Tavola: a small plateau overlooking the valley. A little further on is the church of S. Michele. From here to the center of Conca dei Marini, Piazza Olmo and the monastery of S.Rosa on the Amalfi-Agerola highway.

Blackbeard's Path

Vineyards > Moresca ( by Piane streets ) - Travel time 70 minutes approx.

It starts from the vineyards and penetrates into the Praia valley. The old house of Barbera ( a kind of astrologer - meteorologist, who lived until the 1950s ) is soon reached. Just beyond it begins the village of Praiano and the road, which has become a comfortable promenade, leads to Piazza Moresca and from there to the rolling road.
