Adored by artists and celebrities, it is one of the most iconic Italian destinations for foreign travelers. Ideal to travel in spring

29-March-2022

Its panoramic views are considered among the most beautiful in the world: the Amalfi Coast, furrowed by a seventy-kilometer coastline carved into the steep cliffs overlooking the sea between the gulfs of Salerno and Naples, is one of the most photographed itineraries in the world and is among the absolute most adored Italian destinations by foreigners.

Not only for the unquestionable beauty and uniqueness of nature, but also for the pleasantness of the vacation that can be spent here, between art and history, active life and relaxation, food with unique flavors and wines of great lineage. The scent of this road is that of lemons, jasmine, rosemary and aromatic herbs that grow wild there. Let's discover its most beautiful stretches, from Amalfi to Furore.

Furore and its iconic fjord - Past Conca dei Marini we enter the wildest and most overhanging stretch of the Amalfi Coast, where the mountain is ripped open by deep gorges that plunge into the sea. Here we are in Furore. Known as the Painted Country thanks to the colorful murals created over the years by well-known artists, it has been one of the most scenic sets in Italian cinema. Among the first, Roberto Rosellini set an episode of his film Il Miracolo (The Miracle) there and with Anna Magnani, who was the protagonist, had bought a house there.

A place of delights - Excellent wines, which come from the bold terraces where ancient vineyards are planted, incomparable cuisine that puts on the table the best that is produced from the unsurpassed raw materials, the generous fruit of this fertile land and fishy sea. The most authentic and well-known standard-bearer of this is the historical Hostaria Baccofurore 1930, with its cuisine that draws heavily on tradition. A place where traces echo of the habitual frequentation of illustrious personalities such as Anna Magnani, Roberto Rossellini, the Neapolitan poet Raffaelle Viviani, Eduardo De Filippo, who found their corner of paradise here, and many contemporary celebrities, attracted by the stupendous view from its terraces and by a cuisine that best represents the Neapolitan and Campanian gastronomic tradition.
